They then faced a strong Ellesmere College side, who were too good on the day. However, this is a superb achievement as the boys finish in the top 8 in the country in their age group. Well done to the team of Felipe, Nathan, Guy, Simon and Alex.

Congratulations to the Junior Boys who won the Oxford City Schools hosted by MCS up at Horspath last Wednesday. All junior runners finished in the top 12, with Seb, Dom, Oli and Luke producing a strong A team performance. The inter boys also performed very well coming joint top on points with Abingdon, after Ben, Freddie and Jack all finished inside the top 10 – with George finishing just outside in 14th place. The Senior Boys A team of Robert, Hal, Stani and Freddie finished second in their age group and the Senior girls A team, consisting of Lottie, Hannah, Milly and Amber all ran well and finished in third place. Well done to all of the other runners who also performed well on the day.
A big thank you to all of the staff, including catering and the grounds teams, who made this event possible. It turned out to be a fantastic afternoon of racing, with over 350 athletes from 14 schools across Oxford competing on a slightly wet and muddy course!
Current Captain of Sailing, Cyrus (Upper Sixth), joined forces with recent captains George and Adam this weekend at Birmingham University’s second-tier event. Wins against sides from Cambridge, London, Warwick, Loughborough, Birmingham and Leeds on Saturday brought a place in the knockouts on Sunday. The team won their semi-final against an alumni side to set up a final against Nottingham, who were in turn dispatched 2-0. Congratulation to Cyrus and his team for winning the overall event!
Rugby 3rd XV for winning both games this week.
