Indoor – South Round 1
Following an encouraging friendly v Headington, the side headed to Round 1 of the South section. A win over OHS and draws against Headington and Beaconsfield High meant the girls needed to win their last game. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be, as they lost 5-1 to eventual pool winners Wycombe High.
Indoor – South Round 1
Following a friendly v Sir William Borlase’s on Monday, where the U14s also played their counterparts from the same school, the 1st team entered round 1 of the National Indoor Hockey Tournament. Narrow 3-2 wins over Bradfield and Abingdon and a frustrating 1-0 loss against RGS High Wycombe meant that the team needed a win in their last game to qualify. A superb first half saw the team 4-0 up, with James and Olly (Upper Sixth) outstanding. No further score in the second half saw the side top their pool and progress in to the last 16 of the South.
v Downe House
Girls’ 1st team lost 4-2
v Rugby School
1st Team won 14-2
The full results from the ESAA Regional Cross Country will be posted on the sports website as soon as they come through. However, Ben (Upper Fourth) should be congratulated for finishing 3rd in the Intermediate Boys’ category.
Team of the Week goes to the 1st team boys’ indoor hockey side for winning their pool and qualifying for the last 16 in the South.
