On Tue 1 Nov 2016 Colonel Heidi Doughty OBE OStJ TD DL visited the CCF as the Reviewing Officer for the CCF’s Biennial Inspection. Col Doughty inspected then ranks before giving a speech to the Contingent about the importance of the training they receive within the CCF and how these skills are transferable to the civilian world. Col Doughty was also able to see a snapshot of weekly training taking place around the school site ranging from command tasks led by cadets through to bush craft skills.

Preceding the Biennial Inspection Col Doughty joined other members of the school community for the unveiling of the new poppy memorial installed by OW Tom Piper MBE (the artist behind the Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red installation at the Tower of London).
