Richard died on 5 June 2015. He was a generous supporter of MCS over many years. He kept in touch regularly and said that he attributed his life-long love of music and literature to the school. Richard was a Director and later Chairman of Hutchins & Green (construction) for 34 years until he retired in May 1983.
