Rowing

National Schools:

Last weekend (24th-26thMay); our rowers took part in the National Schools’ Regatta.

The event is the biggest of the year in junior rowing; and sees crews from the largest rowing schools competing; along with plenty of GB junior triallists.

On Friday, the J15 quads came 35th and 56th out of a field of 61 and the J14 quad sneaked into the C final with 18th out of 41. They converted this into a 14th overall with an impressive side by side piece.

Saturday saw the J18 girls’ double race for the school for the last time, placing 48th in their event. The J18 quads came 13th and 37th respectively, just missing out on a finals place.

On Sunday, the J16 squad placed 25th and the J16 double came 10th in their time trial. After a false start from another crew in their final, they had an incredible first 500m, but were not able to hold it until the finish; resulting in a 12th place overall.

Sailing

At the Feva Championships, Abersoch:
