MCS Physics teacher Jesse Petersen has been awarded the Anthony Waterhouse Fellowship of the Institute of Physics.

The programme exists to help Physics teachers to develop new ideas and projects.

Jesse’s fellowship focuses on the distribution of small wind tunnels, which will be used next year to demonstrate basic principles of aerodynamics to students in schools around the country.

The design was developed to support experimental research by pupils in the Waynflete Studies programme, and a prototype (below) has been built and tested by current Lower Sixth student Adam Loader.
