Cross Country

The cross-country teams were out in force last week. On Thursday, the inter boys attended the Marlborough College invitational race – with all of the MCS runners finishing inside the top 30, which brought the team home in an impressive third place – 1 point in front of Abingdon, 2 points behind Kingswood School, Bath, and 20 points behind a strong Harrow A team.

Well done and thank you to the 12 runners that braved the wet and windy conditions at the South-East School Cross-Country at Harrow yesterday. All runners ran very well, on what was a very tough, hilly course.

Ben Sims had a particularly good week; coming 6th at Marlborough – running against students 2 years older than him – and a fantastic second place at the South-East Schools match yesterday at Harrow.

Well done to all involved in these two races and good luck to everybody in the House cross-country today!

Team of the week – The U15A for qualifying for the National Cup quarter finals. Good luck for your fixture on Thursday. Good luck, also, to the 1st team tennis squad who are heading to Bolton for their National Finals.
