Tuesday 27th March 2018 saw the final parade night of Hilary term, and a special treat for the CCF. We were visited by a RAF Puma from RAF Benson on its way back from a training flight.
Landing in Merton Field, the cadets received a quick brief before getting flights around the city seeing both MCS and OHS from above – as well as a few of the cadets’ own houses!
Whilst not everyone got to fly due to the limited number off lights available, those that did fully enjoyed it, as evidenced by the huge smiles on their faces!
Helicopter experience flights are rare for cadets so we are incredibly grateful to Sqn Ldr Taylor and his team from RAF Benson for allowing this to happen, as well as Christ Church College for allowing us to use Merton Field as a landing site.
