To complete a unit on the Geography of Crime, the 3rd form all had an interactive session with the Geography Waynflete Intern, Miss Harry. After spending time visiting death row prisoners in the USA and working with the Innocence Project to help correct injustices, Miss Harry gave the 3rd form a unique insight into the criminal justice system and its inherent unequal Geographies. They learnt about racial inequality, wealth and the influence of where you live. The highlight for the boys was undoubtedly the chance to participate in a mock trial which they later found out to be based on a real case of a man who spent 30 years on death row following a wrongful conviction before eventually being released.
