MCS is delighted to welcome a new Head Chef, Will Tinkler, who joins us from Eton College. We caught up with him to find out more about him, and what he has in store for MCS food.

Where were you working before coming to MCS?

I was working as a Senior Sous Chef at Eton College for 11 Years. I worked my way up from a commis to that position.

Do you have any new ideas or plans for the menu at MCS?

I am working on currently implementing my own ideas to create a completely new menu. Of course, I will keep the classics everyone enjoys.

What’s your favourite dish on the MCS menu?

I do not really have favourites. I really like to mix the menu up seasonally, however, I am very keen on doing street food concepts more than anything.

"I still have never found anyone who does not love a crumble"

Mr Tinkler, Head Chef

What dishes are especially popular with pupils? Any all-time favourites?

I still have never found anyone who does not love a crumble. Of course, a burger and chips is always a winner with pupils as well.

Can you give us a sneak preview of any upcoming theme lunches that you’d like to do?

I would like to try to do a sustainable day of some kind. It really is an important concept that gives a real chance to educate the pupils at the same time.

Welcome, Mr Tinkler, and we look forward to your new spin on the menu!
