On Sunday 3rd July, Magdalen College School hosted the Rose Hill Community Larder picnic. Coinciding with the Oxford Festival of the Arts ‘Queens and Kings’ family day, the afternoon provided a lovely opportunity for larder members to chat and enjoy the fun!
There were a variety of activities available for all the family: from having a go at archery to making gargoyles and dragons; from Tudor witch pots making to sword demonstrations, and entertainment with assembled royals spanning the Tudor, Elizabethan, Stuart and Victorian eras. There were also opportunities to engage in conversation with the Queen of your choice!
Bringing the day to a close was Manouche Etcetera – a versatile trio who took us around the world with fiery dances, klezmer music and retro swing, all of which was thoroughly entertaining!
