This year’s House Singing competition returned to the Big School stage on Thursday 31 March, a superb House Singing event timed to coincide with Giving Day. The standard was extremely high but the houses were really supportive of each other, especially after issues of COVID and wind days set to cause obstacles.

The adjudicator Richard Saxel, who is Director of Music at Cranleigh School said he was really impressed by the standard of the singing and loved the fact that the pupils took the competition seriously, but did not take themselves too seriously!

In the Small Group, Wilkinson came third, Leicester 2nd and Walker 1st with a superb a capella version of Valerie. In the Whole House competition, Leicester were 3rd, Walker 2nd and Wilkison took top spot with an impressive performance of I Want You Back by the Jackson Five.
