Following their success last year, Chavasse continued their House Drama winning streak with an extract from Jerusalem by Jez Butterworth, directed by Head of House Dexter (Upper Sixth).
The guest judge was Paul Simpson, the Participation Manager from our partner theatre Oxford Playhouse. Paul commended all the houses on the evident time and effort they had invested, especially the Sixth Form directors. He was particularly impressed by the quality of ensemble acting by Chavasse and praised Marcus (Fifth Form) for his superb performance in the lead role of Johnny Byron. The runners-up were Callender with Bugsy Malone and Walker with Lord of the Flies. Special thanks were given to Director of Drama Alex Thomas for organising the event.
