Lower Fourth pupils from Magdalen College School a trip to London to explore regeneration and urban rebranding in the Docklands and East London.

They explored the commercial regeneration around Canary Wharf, hunting out clues to the historical past of the docks before evaluating ‘London’s new neighbourhood’ at Wood Wharf.

As they investigated issues of urban inequality further south on the Isle of Dogs, they also analysed whether the regeneration had really benefitted the whole community.

After a hearty lunch alongside the financiers and traders they headed further east to the Royal Docks and Excel to understand the leisure led regeneration around the O2 with a glorious flight on the cable car to view the regeneration from above.
