The Royal Wedding gripped the nation this weekend, as crowds flocked to Windsor and families crowded around their television sets to witness the marriage of Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle.
On a day that celebrated the happy couple by furnishing both St George’s Chapel and the guests residing in it with garments both colourful and picturesque, the school is delighted that the red and black of MCS had more than its part to play. OW Alexi Lubomirski (1994), who was responsible for Harry and Meghan’s engagement photos, was appointed to the position of official photographer for the ceremony.
Three stunning photographs from the wedding were released today, and can be viewed here.
However, Alexi has also been responsible for crafting an image that was widely circulated before the big day dawned. Beginning last week, The Royal Mail has made available for purchase a special set of four stamps depicting the pair’s aforementioned engagement images.
In December, Alexi travelled with Harry and Meghan to Frogmore House in Windsor, the venue for the couple’s evening reception this weekend, to take the photographs, which now appear on stamps up and down the country.
