The Waynflete Office has been sadly informed by his friends Simon Roper (OW 1974) and Keith Jennings (OW 1974) of the death of Mike Woodward, aged 68. We send our condolences and sympathies to his wife Christina, family and friends.
We are most grateful for his good friend Jim Felix (OW 1974) for these words about Mike:
Mike frequently spoke fondly of his days at MCS, and he was proud to be an OW. He was an enthusiastic member of the RAF section of the CCF and won a much sought-after Flying Scholarship which enabled him to obtain his private pilot’s license. He was a keen sportsman, playing 1st XI hockey and going on to represent Oxfordshire at senior level after he left school.
