On Tuesday 25th August, MCS welcomed 40+ delegates from our Sixth Form and 11 partner schools to our annual Medics’ Open Afternoon.
For the last few years, the Magdalen College School Medics’ Open Afternoon has been an established part of the Trinity calendar and, following preparations to make the event Covid secure, we were pleased to be able to finally hold the event this week.
The programme included talks from key speakers and Old Waynfletes and we hosted a full round of multiple mini interviews. The aim is to help attendees fully understand the rather unique process of applying to study Medicine and related disciplines.
We were particularly delighted to have interviewers helping at this event who attended partner schools previously who are now pursuing successful medical careers.
The Medical Society at Magdalen College School has welcomed pupils from partner schools for a number of years, to open afternoons and guest lectures, and we have been privileged to share in their success.
We hope that pupils at all of the schools involved benefited from the opportunity to meet potential future colleagues.
