When you leave MCS, you don’t just graduate. You become a lifelong Old Waynflete, with an open invitation to participate in our varied programme of annual activities. Whether you want to organise a reunion or take a nostalgic tour of the school, we’re here to help.

Stay connected with MCS through the Waynflete Office

The Waynflete Office provides support for  OWs and keeps our community connected. Here’s a glimpse of what we do:

• Publish an annual OW magazine, The Bridge, with news and stories about fellow OWs and MCS.
• Produce regular updates on the impact of philanthropy at MCS in our Donor Report.
• Provide details and booking forms for our programme of events on the MCS website.
• Send a monthly e-newsletter with updates from MCS and our wider community of OWs and Friends.
• Help reconnect you with MCS friends you have lost touch with.
• Offer careers advice and networking opportunities through the OW LinkedIn group.
• Share updates on social media on X Facebook, and LinkedIn.
• Publish obituaries of OWs in The Bridge and on our website.

Become a Friend of MCS

Just like our pupils, parents and staff, both past and present are integral members of the MCS community. We extend a warm invitation to all former parents and staff to become Friends of MCS.

As a Friend you will:

• Be invited to a range of events, including the Arts Festival, talks, plays and concerts.
• Receive the monthly OW and Friends e-newsletter and an e-version of the annual alumni magazine The Bridge.

There is no charge to be a Friend, and you can opt in or opt out at any time by emailing the  Waynflete Office.

We hope that many of you will keep in touch. We are always delighted to welcome OWs and Friends back to MCS.

There are many ways to engage with the life of MCS and we are grateful to our community for generously sharing their time, expertise and financial support.

Share your knowledge

Are you passionate about education and making a lasting impact on young minds? We invite members of our community to share their knowledge and expertise with our pupils. Whether through school lectures, society talks, or supervising Waynflete Studies, your involvement enriches our educational programmes.

We especially welcome professionals in the medical field to participate in our annual Medics Conference, helping to guide the next generation of healthcare professionals. Similarly those involved in engineering are warmly invited to take part in the Engineering Conference.

Beyond the classroom, the MCS community also benefits from engaging with events like the Oxford Festival of the Arts.

Whether you’re new to your career or an experienced professional, consider joining our Careers Fair or giving a talk at the school. Your insights can inspire and motivate pupils, helping them navigate their future paths.

Organise a reunion

As an MCS alumnus, you are part of a lifelong community. Many Old Waynfletes organise their own reunions, and we host events in Oxford, London, and the US. If you’re interested in organising an event or becoming a reunion leader, please get in touch with Alan Cooper, Director of Alumni Relations. We mark special anniversary at our annual events. At Commem we welcome classes celebrating their 25th and 40th anniversaries and at the OW Lunch in November we mark the 10th and 50th anniversaries. Don’t wait for us to be in touch! Gifts in Kind

We gratefully accept ‘gifts in kind’ such as musical instruments and art materials. Contact the Waynflete Office to discuss donations.

If you have items connected to MCS that you no longer wish to keep, consider donating them to the School Archive. Please contact the Archivist, Mrs Catherine Lewis.
